  1. I was very excited to hear an honourable mention for Mother’s club. Thought you might be interested to know you have at least one listener in Erdington, Birmingham, which is an interesting and busy place. Definitely not the coolest or fanciest part of our city, although I love it here. I’m not nearly old enough to remember the club or the furniture shop, but the building still stands, near the centre of the high street, opposite a big Anglican church that was partially renovated to impressive effect after a fire in 2007 and the blue plaque sits, in pride of place, above a PDSA charity shop and one of our many excellent Eastern European food outlets.
